Jessica & Rene Cape Cod Backyard wedding

Jessica and Rene are seriously the kindest people. They had to downsize their large Wychmere wedding to a smaller, more intimate, backyard, mini-mony, wedding on Cape Cod due to Covid19. Not only were they just wonderful to work with, but they actually said they wanted to still get married this year, that love wasn’t cancelled and they wanted to make sure that their vendors were still taken care of since this pandemic has hit the wedding industry so hard. I actually cried, tears of joy, when I read her email. I just love the nature and simplicity of an intimate wedding, especially a backyard one, and for Jessica & Rene to think of others during a time like this, truly goes to show you what wonderful people they are. There were so many wonderful parts to their wedding including the absolutely beautiful florals and tablescape by The Wild Dahlia, as well as the heartfelt speeches by numerous family and friends. Even though they had to significantly downsize their guest list, it still had all the elements of a big wedding including a ceremony, first dance, cake cutting, parent dances, family formals and portraits. As a side note: everyone quarantined for 2 weeks before the wedding and there are a lot of people who live in the same household. Masks were worn by vendors at all times & social distancing was maintained.

Jessica and Rene, I know your wedding was not what you planned and dreamed for but, you said it best, it was more than you could have asked for, and even better then you expected. Thank you for being so kind and still including me in your wedding day. I absolutely loved every minute of it.
