I have always been completely intrigued by time travel. Unfortunately, since it doesn’t exist, I have to visit the past in other ways. The Sowa Vintage Market in Boston, MA is a great way to spend your free Sundays in the summer. I spent a few hours there last Sunday and had such a great time. There are three parts to the market: The “Open Market,” “The Sowa Vintage Market” and the “Sowa Food & Produce Market.”
I started my afternoon on at the Open Market. The street was lined with little white tents where people were selling their hand crafted products, vintage pieces and some food. Here were some of my favorite tents in the open market…

Bumble Belly Designs was really interesting. Their shop is full of vintage inspired wall art, pillows and dog leash racks for your home. They create their mixed media images using encaustic waxes and altered ephemera.

Haberdash Vintage didn’t have a white tent, but a vintage mobile boutique! They sold so many vintage and hip items that anyone could get away with wearing today. It was like taking a step back in time by going inside!

These clocks by Chromalab were just funky and eclectic. I thought I would share!

This collage is The Vintage Market section of Sowa. This was my favorite part! It had so many unique and beautiful items from many different time periods. I was lucky enough to speak with Stephanie Pernice. She and her husband actually started the Vintage market and the majority of these items are theirs. They also sell their items through their store. Some of the items in these pictures are also from Bliss Farms Antiques
